Gorstage Meadows is a lodge on a smallholding near Hartford. It's detached, so you've got your own space. Sleeps four, two bedrooms. Both bathrooms are on the ground floor and there's a wet room, which is handy.
It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and comfortable. The decking area is private, with a hot tub. You can see the fields from there. The owners live on site with their rare breed sheep. They're friendly and if you want to know about the farm, just ask.
The lodge is open plan inside. There's a TV, WiFi, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right next to the lodge.
There's a public footpath that runs through the land if you want a walk straight from the door. For a bigger walk, Delamere Forest is about 15 minutes away by car. They've got Go Ape and a wild swimming spot there too.
Chester is half an hour's drive. It's good for a day out, nice for history. Manchester is about the same if you get the train from Cuddington station.
There are several National Trust places within easy reach. Arley Hall, Tatton Park, and Dunham Massey are all under 30 minutes away.
Oulton Park racing circuit is nearby, about 15 minutes. If you're into shopping, Cheshire Oaks or the Trafford Centre are within range. The North Wales coast is about an hour's drive.
