Number Three is in Marvig, on the Isle of Lewis. It's a detached croft house, so you're on your own out there. It's up on a bit of a slope, so you look out over the loch. The view is the main thing.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-finished. It's been done up but it's still a solid old house. The entrance and the main living space are all on one level, which is handy.
You're about halfway between Tarbert and Stornoway. The nearest shop is about six miles away in Gravir. The nearest pub and restaurant are about twelve miles, in Leurbost. You'll want to plan for that. The road out to the cottage is single track.
The place has a woodburning stove, which is good for the evenings. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.
For things to do, you're well placed. The Callanish Standing Stones are about a forty minute drive. The beach at Traigh Mhor is stunning, about twenty minutes away. You can get boat trips from Tarbert or Stornoway if you want to see sea eagles or go out to St Kilda. The Visit Outer Hebrides site has a lot of practical information. The National Trust for Scotland also looks after some sites nearby.
No pets, sorry.
