Old Stable Cottage
It's called Old Stable Cottage. It's on our farm, so we're in the main house. You get your own bit of garden, it's enclosed.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. One bathroom. The rating, three star, it means it's a normal house. Comfy, but you won't find a hot tub or anything like that.
The cottage is on a working farm. We've got about 200 acres. There are some good woodland walks right from the back door, you don't need to drive anywhere.
You're on a farm, which is good to know. You'll see us going about, and you'll hear farm noises, especially in the morning. It's part of it.
The village pub is about half a mile away. They do food. The nearest shop is in Uplawmoor, that's a bit further, about four and a half miles.
For getting out, you're quite central. Glasgow and Paisley are about twenty minutes in the car. If you want the coast, Ayrshire and places like Troon or Largs are maybe forty minutes.
Loch Lomond is a good day out, maybe forty-five minutes. It's the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. You can drive up to see it. The islands, Arran or Bute, you can get a ferry from Ardrossan or Wemyss Bay.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove. We leave you some logs to start you off. There's a washing machine, a TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
You can bring a dog, up to two. We just ask that they're not left alone in the cottage.
