The Calving Shed Neilston

The Calving Shed is what it says on the tin. It's an old farm shed we converted. You're on the farm here, so you'll see the cows and hear us working during the day. It's detached, so no neighbours through the walls.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. Everything's on one level and the doors are wide, so it works if you have mobility issues. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner for the evenings. The garden is yours, with a table and a barbecue. You can walk straight out from the door into the woods behind the farm.

It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and finished to a good standard. It's clean and warm. The wifi works.

You can bring two dogs. The farm track is good for walking them, but please keep them on a lead near the livestock.

The village is two miles away for a shop and a pub. For a bigger shop or a cinema, you're about 20 minutes in the car to Paisley or into Glasgow. It's easy to get there.

If you want to get out into the hills, Loch Lomond is about a 45 minute drive. The coastal road down to Ayrshire is good too. For a day out, you can get the ferry from Largs over to Great Cumbrae. It's about half an hour to the ferry port.
