Cruary is an old shepherd's cottage in Applecross. It's from the 1700s. It faces the bay, so you get a clear view of the water and Skye in the distance.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up inside but it's still a cottage. There are bookcases built into the walls in the living room.
You have your own garden to sit in. There's a conservatory too, which is good for watching the weather come in.
Applecross isn't a big place. There's a famous restaurant, the Applecross Inn, and a small shop with a Post Office. That's about it. You're here for the quiet.
The beach is about two miles long and it's just down the hill. You can walk to it. We see otters and seals in the bay quite often.
If you want to go walking or climbing, you're right in the middle of it. The mountains around Torridon are about a 30-minute drive north. The National Trust for Scotland looks after that area. For a slightly easier day, the Beinn Eighe nature reserve is a similar drive east.
Facilities: There's parking. Wi-Fi. A washing machine and dishwasher. TV. We include bedding and towels. You can bring one dog.
It's a long single-track road to get here. Just so you know.
