Cliff Cottage
Cliff Cottage is in Lonbain, which is up the coast from Applecross village. It's a detached house. You're about seven miles north of the main bit with the pub and shops.
It sleeps seven. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been looked after, it's comfortable. There's a wood burning stove for the cooler evenings.
The road to get here is single track. The famous Bealach na Bà pass comes in from the south if you want that route, but it's steep and not for everyone. The coast road from Shieldaig is longer but easier. The cottage is down a track off that road.
Out front there's a garden with some raised beds. If there are vegetables growing and they're ready, you're welcome to use them.
Sand Bay is about two miles back down the road. It's a very good beach. You can walk along the coast from there too. The cottage itself is right by the water.
In Applecross village there's the Applecross Inn, a couple of cafes, and a small shop. That's your nearest place for a meal or supplies. The road north from the cottage goes all the way round the peninsula to Shieldaig and Torridon. It's a good drive for views.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, dishwasher, and bedding and towels are included. You can bring two dogs.
