Shere village itself is a short walk away. It's a nice looking place with a couple of pubs. Lots of walking trails start from there. The wider area is good for cycling, with plenty of quiet lanes.

Guildford is a 15-minute drive for bigger shops. It’s about half an hour to places like Epsom or Weybridge if you’re coming from that direction. London is an hour or so by train from Guildford.
Facilities wise: it has everything you'd expect – WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. There's parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. They provide a cot and a highchair.
