The Haybarn
The Haybarn is our place near Ewhurst in Surrey. It's a converted barn on the edge of a quiet horse farm. You come down a private lane through the fields to get to it.
It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is handy. One has a bath and a separate shower, the other just a shower. There's underfloor heating in the bathrooms.
The main room is all one space. Big sofa, wood burner, TV, and a kitchen along one wall. The big doors at the front open right up onto the terrace. You can sit out there and look at the horses in the paddock.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. It's clean and modern.
The village of Ewhurst is small. There's a shop and a church. Cranleigh is about ten minutes drive for more shops and supermarkets.
You're right on the edge of the Surrey Hills here. The top of Leith Hill is about fifteen minutes away. You can walk up there for the views. For cycling, the routes around Box Hill and Shere are famous. Good pubs nearby too.
