Kielder Cottage
Kielder Cottage is in Ravenshill Forest Park, right next to the reservoir. It's detached, so you've got your own space.
It sleeps six, three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, which means it's comfortable and clean. It's been recently done up, new floors and bathrooms, and the patio area is new.
The main thing is the view. You're right beside Kielder Water, looking out over trees and water. It's very quiet. The hot tub is on the patio, so you can sit in it and look at that.
You're in the Northumberland National Park. The walking and cycling is right from the door. You can hire bikes. There's fishing and water skiing on the reservoir if that's your thing. The local pub is a short walk away, and it does food.
Kielder Castle is about a mile. Bellingham is the nearest proper village for a shop, about five miles. It's got a good walk there, Hareshaw Linn. Hadrian's Wall isn't far. You can drive into Scotland in under an hour, Jedburgh is about 45 minutes.
The facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, wi-fi, parking. The garden is enclosed. You can bring up to two dogs.
