Skye Eco Pod

This totally unique property, perfect for couples, is eco-friendly, bijou and stylish, making it a very cosy, comfortable holiday home. Enjoy the views over the open countryside from the decking. Situated within the peaceful scattered crofting community of Minginish, this is where the Cuillins are to be found. This hugely impressive mountain range is the spiritual heartland of the island. Eagles are frequently seen in this area, as well as resident hares, red deer, otters and so much more in the way of wildlife. Talisker Distillery, Skye’s only distillery, and an inn which has regular live music are only a short drive away. Just a five-minute walk from Skye Eco Pod, you can sample home cooked food and an excellent selection of whisky and gin. The walking is superb for all levels, with Talisker Bay, Glenbrittle Beach, Fairy Pools, the Cuillin Mountains and so much more. A trip to Dunvegan Castle and Coral Beach, Neist Point Lighthouse or the beautiful Waternish Peninsula are all recommended and are all on the west side of the island. Take a sea trip from Portree to see the varied sea and bird life and also enjoy the beauty of the rugged coastline. To the north of Portree is the Trotternish Peninsula, which boasts some of Skye’s most stunning scenery. To the south of the island is Broadford, where you will find ‘The Garden of Skye’. Here you can visit the ruins of Armadale Castle and its lovely gardens. Skye has so much to offer for the outdoor enthusiast, with hill walking, fishing, boat trips, kayaking, pony trekking, as well as the opportunity to discover the many craft/art galleries and restaurants for a more relaxing time and to be awestruck by the dramatic scenery.
