Brookend Cottage

Brookend Cottage is in Kitebrook, a small hamlet near Chastleton. It's a three-bedroom house, sleeps six. There's parking on the drive.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it has a few upgrades like the two bathrooms and the en-suite. The layout is a bit unusual though. The main two bedrooms are on different floors, each with their own staircase. So two of the three bedrooms are up separate flights of stairs. Good for privacy, maybe less good if you have small kids you're checking on. There's also a small study area on the top floor.

The garden has a decent sized lawn. There's also a pond, which isn't fenced. Something to be aware of if you're bringing children or dogs.

You can take up to three dogs. There's a utility room and an outdoor hot tap for washing them off.

The living room has a wood burner. There's Sky TV and WiFi. The kitchen has a dishwasher. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer in the utility room. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if needed. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger on the drive.

Location wise, it's very quiet. You can walk straight out onto footpaths. Chastleton House is literally just down the lane, it's a National Trust place. Moreton-in-Marsh is the nearest proper town, about four miles away. They've got a train station, shops, and a Tuesday market.

Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Norton are both about a ten minute drive. Bourton-on-the-Water is about fifteen minutes. For a day out, the Cotswold Wildlife Park is near Burford, which is roughly a twenty-five minute drive. If you like gardens, Hidcote is about half an hour away.
