Country Comforts is a static caravan in Bontuchel, near Ruthin. We’re in the Clwydian Range, a few miles out of town. It’s detached, so your own space.
It sleeps eight, but it’s three bedrooms and one bathroom. There’s a sofa bed in the living area for the extra two. It’s a 3 Star, so it’s clean and functional, not luxurious. The décor is what you’d expect.
It’s on a small holiday park. You have access to the shared swimming pool and sauna. There’s a bar and restaurant on site. There’s also a fenced area for dogs to run around off lead. Parking is right outside.
The location is the main thing. You’re in proper countryside, with walks straight from the door. The views over the Vale of Clwyd are good. Ruthin is about four miles away. It’s a proper market town with a castle, some shops, and pubs. You can get everything you need there.
Within half an hour you can get to Moel Famau, which is the big hill in the Clwydians. For a longer day out, the North Wales coast is about forty minutes. Snowdonia is also about forty minutes’ drive. Llangollen is roughly twenty minutes, good for a wander and the steam railway.
Facilities: it has a shower, TV, WiFi, washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs.
