Beech Cottage is in Rhewl, a small place just north of Ruthin in Denbighshire. It's a detached cottage, so no one attached to either side. It's in a field on a narrow lane, about a mile off the main road. You'll get your own garden and patio area with a view west towards Moel Famau and the Clwydian hills.
The cottage is for two people, maybe with a couple of children. One bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's been done up nicely inside with a lot of beech wood. The stairs are narrow and winding though. And the ceilings upstairs are sloped. Something to be aware of.
The cottage has a dishwasher, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right there. They've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can store bikes. No pets.
Ruthin town is about three miles away. It's got a decent range of shops and cafés, plus the castle and the old gaol to look around. The Ruthin Craft Centre is there too.
If you drive for about half an hour, you can get to Llangollen. You can go over the Horseshoe Pass for the view. There's the canal and the steam railway there. Another half hour gets you to the coast at Llandudno, or up into Snowdonia near Betws-y-Coed. The Bodnant Garden is about a 40 minute drive, maybe a bit more.
For planning walks, the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley AONB site is useful. For the wider area, Visit Wales North Wales covers everything.
