The Old Dairy

The Old Dairy is on our family farm in Nether Broughton. It's a one bedroom place, sleeps two. There's a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well kept. You get your own front door.

It's all on one floor inside, open plan. Kitchen with a breakfast bar, then the living space. The bedroom is up a flight of stairs, it's a double with an en-suite shower room. The stairs are steep, like a ladder. You need to be okay with that.

Outside the back door is a garden area you share with us. We've got a raised pond with koi fish and some pet rabbits in a run there. You can sit out there if you like.

It's a working cattle farm. You'll see and hear the cows. Sometimes they'll be in the barn opposite the kitchen window. If farm smells or the occasional bit of mud on the lane bother you, it might not be the right fit.

You can bring one dog. They need to be kept on a lead outside because of the livestock.

The village pub is about a ten minute walk. It does food. Melton Mowbray is six miles away for bigger shops, and that's where the pork pies and Stilton cheese come from.

For days out, Nottingham and Leicester are both about a 40 minute drive. Rutland Water is roughly half an hour away for cycling or walking. There's fishing nearby and a local golf course.

Facilities: there's WiFi, a TV, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We have an electric vehicle charger you can use.
