Glossoms Lodge
Glossoms Lodge is an annex next to our house on a stud farm near Scalford. It's for two people, one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable.
You'll have your own patio with a table. The views are over the fields. You might see the horses, and if you're here in spring, sometimes there are foals. Guests are welcome to walk the farm track and through the empty fields.
It's very quiet here. The nearest pub is about a mile away in Thorpe Arnold. Melton Mowbray is just over three miles for shops and things. It's famous for pork pies if you want to try one.
For a day out, Belvoir Castle is about 20 minutes by car. It's a proper castle with gardens. Belvoir Castle. Rutland Water is under half an hour away. You can walk, cycle, or watch birds there. The Rutland Water website has details.
Leicester is about 12 miles if you want a city. They've got the Richard III visitor centre. Nottingham is around 18 miles for shopping.
Inside, there's a washing machine, a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
