The Milk Place is on our farm, out near Harby in Leicestershire. It's a detached building, part of a barn we converted. It's just for two people.
It's a working farm, so you'll see cattle and calves. They can be noisy in the morning. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs.
The place is all on one level, which is handy. The bathroom has a walk-in shower. The doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair to get through.
There's a small kitchen with the basics for cooking. The living area has a TV and a heater that looks like a log burner. It's warm and does the job. There's a little covered sitting area outside, under the main barn.
It's quiet here. You can walk or cycle straight from the door into the lanes and fields. The nearest pub is about a mile and a quarter away. The proper shops are in Melton Mowbray, about nine miles.
If you want to go out, Belvoir Castle is close. Rutland Water is about a 25-minute drive. You can walk, cycle, or watch birds there. The National Trust's Clumber Park and Rufford Old Hall are within half an hour. Nottingham is also about 30 minutes away for bigger shops.
Everything's included: bedding, towels, electricity, and WiFi. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry.
If you're coming with more people, we have another cottage here called Hill Farm. You can book both together.
