The Old Tack Room is in Tilshead, on the edge of Salisbury Plain. It's a converted tack room, obviously, so it's a single storey on the ground floor with rooms upstairs. It's detached. You get the whole place and the yard.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and a shower room are on the ground floor. It's got a Three Star rating. It's clean and everything works, but it's not a show home. The stairs are a bit tight.
The big thing here is if you've got horses. There are four stables, a secure yard with parking for a horsebox, and your own arena with jumps. The owner is on site and can sort the details for that. The garden is enclosed so it's fine for dogs. We take up to three.
Tilshead is a quiet village. There's a pub and a garage. You're right on Salisbury Plain for walking or riding. You'll see the army out on the plains sometimes, with their tanks. It's just what happens here.
Stonehenge is about a 20 minute drive. Avebury is a bit further, maybe 25 minutes. Salisbury is half an hour for the cathedral. English Heritage manages a lot of the local sites. Bath, Longleat and Marlborough are all within an hour if you fancy a day out.
In the house, there's an open plan living area with a wood burner. The kitchen has a calor gas hob and an electric oven, plus a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a TV, parking, and bedding and towels are included.
