If you drive, the Berwickshire coast is about 20 minutes away. St Abbs and Eyemouth are good for a walk and some fish and chips. For a bigger day out, Floors Castle near Kelso is about half an hour's drive. The Border Abbeys are all within easy reach.
For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's storage for bikes. There's on-street parking outside. No pets, sorry.
