The place is called Amaranth. It's in Little Shurdington. It’s detached, so you're not sharing walls with anyone. It’s got five bedrooms and sleeps ten, with three bathrooms so you shouldn’t get queues.
It's got a 5 Star rating and is billed as "luxury", which means it’s very well equipped and finished to a high standard. There’s air conditioning in the main living room, which is useful in summer, and a log burner for winter. The sofas recline. There are two living rooms, one downstairs and another upstairs.
There are three bedrooms on the ground floor: a king, a super king with its own shower room, and a twin. The family bathroom there has a jacuzzi bath. Upstairs, the main bedroom has these big velux windows that open right up to form a sort of balcony. It looks over the garden. There's another double bedroom and another shower room up there too.
Outside there's a patio, a lawn, and a hot tub that fits six. There’s also a children’s play area with a slide and swings.
The village is quiet. It's in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so there are good walks straight from the door. Cheltenham is about a ten minute drive. That’s where you'll find most of the shops, restaurants, and things like the festivals and the races if that's on.
You're on the edge of the Cotswolds. Places like Bourton-on-the-Water or Bibury are within half an hour. Gloucester with its cathedral is about twenty minutes in the other direction. The National Trust and Cotswolds AONB sites have good information for planning trips.
Facilities cover most things: parking, WiFi, washing machine, dishwasher, TV, cot, highchair, stairgate. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
