Holst Apartment Cheltenham

The Holst Apartment is in Cheltenham. It's a first floor apartment in a Victorian townhouse, so you go up a wide flight of stairs to get to it. It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. One well-behaved dog is allowed, but please tell us in advance.

The ceilings are high and the original windows are tall. We've decorated it to feel calm and quiet, with colours inspired by the Regency period. It's modern but it fits the building.

You're right in the middle of town. The Promenade with its shops is a few minutes' walk. There are parks and gardens nearby. The theatre is close. There are a lot of restaurants and wine bars, including a couple with Michelin stars if you want to book something special.

Cheltenham has the racecourse for the Gold Cup and festivals for jazz and literature. If you're interested in the composer, the Holst Birthplace Museum is his actual childhood home and is worth a visit.

For a day out, the Cotswold villages like Bourton-on-the-Water or Stow-on-the-Wold are about a half hour drive. You can also get out to the Cotswolds National Landscape quite easily. Gloucester Cathedral is about 20 minutes away by car.
