Walnut Cottage Barn

Walnut Cottage Barn is in Norton's Wood, near Clevedon. It's a barn conversion, detached. The owners live next door, but you've got your own garden and entrance.

It sleeps five. Two bedrooms, one bathroom upstairs and a family bathroom downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well finished.

You go down four steps from the parking area into the kitchen-diner. That opens straight out to the garden. The garden wraps around a bit, with seating, and looks out over a paddock. We sometimes see deer. Upstairs, the main bedroom has a king-size bed and its own shower room. The other room has a bunk bed and a pull-out single bed, which is useful for kids. The living room has a wood burner and a smart TV. There's a Velux window that opens onto a small balcony overlooking the paddock.

It's a quiet spot but you're only about ten minutes in the car from Clevedon seafront. The pier is there, and the Marine Lake for swimming. There's a good walk called Poet's Walk along the coast. Ladye Bay is a small, rocky beach a bit further along.

For cycling, the Avon Cycle Route goes from Clevedon to Pill. The Gordano Valley is good for walks. Portishead marina is about a fifteen minute drive, with restaurants by the water.

Further out, Weston-super-Mare is roughly twenty-five minutes by car. Bristol is about half an hour.

Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, included wifi, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets.
