Pierside Coastal Retreat is a terraced house on Clevedon seafront. It's Victorian and sleeps ten people across five bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It has the highest 5 Star rating, so everything is in very good order.
The house is on three floors. The stairs are typical for a house of this age, so they're a bit steep. There are stair gates fitted at the top and bottom. On the ground floor there's a living room with a wood burner, a separate snug or playroom with a TV and some toys, and a kitchen-diner with big doors out to the garden. The garden is enclosed, which is good with kids or a dog. There's a built-in barbecue out there. Parking is on the street outside, and it's free.
Upstairs, the bedrooms are all a good size. One has a desk with a view of the garden, and another has a desk looking out to sea, if you need to work. There's a utility area on the top floor with the washing machine. For families, we've left a travel cot, highchair, and some plastic plates and cups.
Clevedon itself is quiet. You're about a minute's walk from the sea. The Marine Lake and the pier are good for swimming. There's a small rocky beach at Ladye Bay, and the Poet's Walk is a nice coastal path. The town has some good independent shops and pubs, all within walking distance.
It's easy to get to other places from here. Weston-super-Mare is about ten minutes drive. Bristol is twenty-five minutes away. If you're interested in walks or days out, the National Trust looks after a lot of the coastline here, and Visit Somerset has more information.
One well-behaved dog is welcome. All bedding and towels are included.
