The Nook
The Nook is next to our house, on the edge of Portishead. It's for two people. It's got one bedroom upstairs and a shower room downstairs.
The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the Bristol Channel towards Wales. You can see ships going up and down, and the lights of Cardiff at night. The bedroom is up there too, so you get the view from the bed.
It's got a 4 Star rating, which is accurate. It's comfortable and well looked after. The stairs up to the bedroom are a bit steep, just so you know.
You've got your own little patio out the front. There's parking right next to it.
Portishead itself is a five minute drive, or a twenty minute walk down the hill. The marina has places to eat and you can walk along the coast path. The beach at Portishead is rocky. For sand, you'd drive to Weston-super-Mare.
Bristol is about twenty minutes by car. Bath is around forty minutes. For days out, the National Trust has several places nearby, like Clevedon Court or Tyntesfield.
It has pretty much everything: WiFi, a TV, a dishwasher, bedding and towels. No pets, sorry.
