Syke Farm Cottage Rakewood

Syke Farm Cottage is a stone barn on our farm in Rakewood. It's a conversion, so it's all on one level. You get the whole place to yourselves. It sleeps two, in one bedroom.

It's got a 4 Star rating. That means it's comfortable and well-equipped. There's a hot tub outside. The shower is in the bedroom, an en-suite. No separate bathroom.

The location is rural. You're down a single-track farm road to get here. It's a bit narrow and bumpy in places. We're on a working farm, so you'll see sheep and hear the usual farm noises. There's a fishing pond on the land if you fancy it. We've also put in an electric vehicle charger.

For walking, you can go straight out the door onto the bridleway. Hollingworth Lake Country Park is just down the road. It's good for a stroll around the water. Hollingworth Lake has more information.

Littleborough village is about ten minutes by car. It's got a few shops and a train station. The train goes to Manchester and Leeds if you want a city day.

Within about half an hour you can get to Hebden Bridge or Todmorden. They've got independent shops and cafes. Haworth, for the Brontë Parsonage, is also in that range. The Peak District and Yorkshire Dales are both roughly an hour's drive away.

Facilities: WiFi is included. There's parking. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a patio with the hot tub. It's a detached property so it's private. No pets.
