The Stables is near Summit, in Littleborough. It's a detached stone building that used to be a stable block. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's quite high spec inside.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one with a king bed and one with twins. One shower room. The main living space is all open plan, with underfloor heating and a wood burner. The shower is a good one.
There's a hot tub on the patio. The views from there are good, looking out towards the hills.
You're right on the edge of the Pennines. You can walk straight out the door and up onto the moor. For a flatter walk, the Rochdale Canal towpath is nearby.
Hollingworth Lake is about a ten minute drive away. It's a reservoir. People walk around it, sail on it, or use the cafe.
Hebden Bridge and Todmorden are about a 15-minute drive. They've got independent shops and cafes. The Hardcastle Crags area, run by the National Trust, is just outside Hebden Bridge if you want a woodland walk.
Littleborough station has trains into Manchester Victoria and Leeds, if you don't want to drive.
For facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine and dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
