Stablehurst Cottage

Stablehurst Cottage is in Sharpthorne, West Sussex. It's a detached cottage just off a lane. You get the place to yourselves, obviously. We finished renovating it last year.

It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One is on the ground floor with a king bed. The other is upstairs, with a double and its own shower room. There's a second shower room downstairs too. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped.

The garden is big. There's a patio and a picnic table. The Bluebell Railway line runs along the bottom of the field. You'll see and hear the steam trains going past, which kids seem to like. There's a climbing frame and a play area. Parking for two cars.

Inside, there's a living room with a sofa and a smart TV. The kitchen has what you need. There's a separate dining room. We've put in fibre broadband. Washing machine, dishwasher, that sort of thing. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair.

For walks, you can just step out the door into the High Weald countryside. The High Weald AONB site has maps and ideas. The Bluebell Railway station is a short drive away if you want to go for a ride.

East Grinstead is about ten minutes by car. It's a market town with shops and pubs. For a day out, Standen House is close by and nice for a wander. Ashdown Forest is about 20 minutes away. It's good for a proper walk. The Ashdown Forest website has details.

Further afield, within half an hour, you've got Wakehurst Place gardens, Nymans, and Sheffield Park. Hever Castle is about 30 minutes' drive. There are a couple of local vineyards if that's your thing.

No pets, I'm afraid.
