Acorns At Oaklands is a single-storey annex attached to our house. It's in the village of Edwyn Ralph, outside Bromyard. We're down a lane, so it's quiet, but you can see the main house from the garden.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. It was designed to be accessible, so there are ramps, wide doorways, and an electric bed in the bedroom. The shower room is a wet room with grab rails and a stool. The kitchen is open to the living area.
You have your own enclosed garden at the back with a table and chairs. It's lawned and gets the afternoon sun.
Bromyard is about three miles away. It's a small market town with shops, pubs, and a couple of supermarkets. If you're here in September, the Bromyard Folk Festival is a big event. There's also a summer music festival called Nozstock nearby in July.
For walking, Bromyard Downs has good views and some accessible paths. A bit further out, the Brockhampton Estate is National Trust. It's a nice place for a gentle stroll around the woods and orchards.
Hereford is about a 20 minute drive. Ledbury is similar. The Malvern Hills are within half an hour if you fancy a proper hill walk.
Facilities wise: there's parking right outside, Wi-Fi, a Smart TV, and all bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. The kitchen has the usual stuff, kettle, toaster, oven, that sort of thing.
