The Hop Pocket is a barn conversion on our farm, just outside Bromyard. It's semi-detached, but you've got your own bit. It sleeps up to thirteen people, which is a lot. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's big, clean and functional more than it is stylish. It's on a working farm, so you'll see animals and tractors about. Sometimes there's mud.
The main quirk is the living area. It's upstairs. You go in on the ground floor, then climb up to where the kitchen, dining and sitting room are. It was done that way for the views, which are over fields. There's a deck outside those rooms. It's a nice spot.
Inside, it's a barn. Exposed beams, rough walls. There's a piano. The stairs are fine, but they are there.
You can walk into Bromyard in about twenty minutes. It's a small market town. There are a few pubs and places to eat. The nearest one is about half a mile. We don't recommend specific ones, but you won't go hungry.
If you're driving, you can get to the Malvern Hills in under half an hour. The Forest of Dean and the Wye Valley are about the same. Ledbury and Hereford are both easy to reach.
On the practical side: parking for several cars, a garden with a barbecue, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed. There's a stairgate if you need it.
