Bramley Orchard Lodge is in Hayton, which is an old village out towards Retford. The lodge itself sits in a field belonging to our farm, about an acre of land for you to use. It's detached, so it's just you out there.
It sleeps two. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star. There's a wood burner in the living room, which is the main source of heat. It heats the place up well once it's going. We leave you a sack of logs to get started.
You've got a covered veranda at the front. It's south-facing, so it catches the sun. Useful if it rains. The garden space is just the field around the lodge, so it's not a formal garden. There's on-site parking right next to it.
There's a pub in the village, about a ten minute walk down the lane. They do food. The area is fairly flat, so it's good for walking. There are fishing ponds at Littleborough, a five minute drive away.
For a bigger day out, Sherwood Forest is maybe 25 minutes by car. Clumber Park is about the same. Lincoln is roughly half an hour's drive if you want a cathedral and some history.
Facilities are straightforward: all bedding and towels are included, electricity is part of the price, there's the wood burner, and parking. We accept two dogs. The shower is modern and works fine.
