Cowslip Ranby

Cowslip is one of two cottages on our farm here in Ranby. It's semi-detached, next to the other cottage, Olivia. They're connected by an internal door that can be unlocked if you're booking both. The cottage itself sleeps four, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

You've got a garden area that's just for you. The main thing is the private hot tub. It's in the old barn enclosure next to the cottage, so it's covered and private.

Inside, it's straightforward. There's a wood burner in the living room. Both bedrooms have their own en-suite bathrooms. The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. We provide the bedding and towels. The entrance and main rooms are all on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible.

It's a working farm, so you'll see us and the animals going about our day. The main road, the A1, is close by if you're driving in, which makes it easy to get to places.

The nearest shop and pub are about two miles away in the village. Retford and Bawtry are the local towns, both a short drive. They have the usual supermarkets and a few places to eat.

If you want to get out, Sherwood Forest is about twenty minutes away by car. The National Trust looks after it. Clumber Park is similar driving time, also National Trust. For something different, Creswell Crags is a short drive over the border into Derbyshire. It's a limestone gorge with caves and an archaeology museum.

We've got space to store bikes if you bring them. There's parking right by the cottage.
