Ratcliffe Cottage
This is Ratcliffe Cottage in Ipswich. It's a fairly standard two-up two-down terraced house, but you get it to yourselves. The main thing is the location, really. You're ten minutes walk from the town centre and five minutes from the river.
It sleeps three, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything is provided, bedding, towels, wifi. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you're bringing a dog. We accept one pet.
The stairs are steep. They're the original cottage stairs. We provide a stairgate for the top.
The house is on a side street. There's a pub on the corner that does food. The Waterfront is a short walk away. You can walk along the River Orwell from there. The town centre is close for shops.
If you want to get out for the day, the Suffolk coast is about thirty minutes drive. Places like Woodbridge and Southwold. Flatford Mill and Dedham Vale are in that direction too, that's Constable country. National Trust Suffolk Coast has good information for walks.
Closer by, Christchurch Mansion and park is worth a visit. It's free.
