Llwynhelig House is near Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan. It's a big, old manor house from the 1500s. It sleeps twelve, if you use all six bedrooms and the five bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.
The house is detached and you get it to yourselves. It’s been on the telly, but honestly, it's just a very nice old house. It's well looked after.
There are two living rooms, both with wood burners. The kitchen has a big range cooker and an American fridge freezer. There's a dining room too. The stairs are what you'd expect for a house this old. They're fine, but watch your step.
There's a heated outdoor swimming pool in the grounds. It's shared with other guests on the estate and is open from May to October. You get a private patio area with a table.
The grounds are shared, but they're large. There's parking for three cars on the drive.
Cowbridge is a five minute drive. It's a nice market town with good shops and places to eat. There's a Tesco there too. The coast at Southerndown is about fifteen minutes away. It's a good beach for walking or surfing. Ogmore-by-Sea is similar, maybe twenty minutes.
For a day out, Cardiff is roughly half an hour's drive. You've got the castle, the museums, and the shops there. The Glamorgan Heritage Coast is right on your doorstep for walks. If you like castles, St Quintins Castle is in Cowbridge itself, and Caerphilly Castle is about forty minutes away.
What's here: all bedding and towels are included. There's WiFi, a dishwasher, washing machine, and TVs. There's a BBQ on the patio. No pets, sorry. There's a security deposit of £1,500, which you get back after you leave.
