The Two Byres
The Two Byres is in Halistra, on the Waternish peninsula. It’s an architect-designed cottage. They did a good job with the windows.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bathroom is ensuite to the main bedroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating. That means it’s well finished and everything works.
The main thing is the view. You can see Loch Bay and out towards Dunvegan Head and the islands. On a clear night you can see the northern lights from here. There’s decking on three sides so you can follow the sun.
It’s warm. There’s underfloor heating and a wood burner in the living room. The kitchen has what you need. There’s a study if you have to work. The garage has space for kayaks and a proper drying cabinet for wet gear.
Stein is about three miles away. The Stein Inn is there, and the Lochbay restaurant. Boat trips to St Kilda leave from the pier there. Dunvegan Castle is about eight miles.
Facilities: it’s got a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi included. Bedding and towels are provided. There’s a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking for two cars on the gravel. No pets.
