Cwtch Cottage

Cwtch Cottage is a bungalow in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. It's detached, so no neighbours attached. You get the whole place and garden to yourselves.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's well looked after and modern inside. The beds are comfortable.

There's a patio and a garden. Parking is on the drive. We include all bedding and towels. There's a dishwasher and wifi. You can bring one well-behaved dog.

Rhiwbina is a quiet suburb. It's about four miles north of Cardiff city centre. There's a local shop and a couple of pubs within walking distance. The Tyn-y-Parc pub does food.

For getting around, you're in a good spot. You can drive into Cardiff centre in about 15 minutes, or there's a bus from the bottom of the road. The A470 is close if you're heading to the valleys or up towards the Brecon Beacons.

Castell Coch is about a ten-minute drive away. It's a proper fairy-tale castle, run by Cadw. The Taff Trail is nearby if you want to walk or cycle along the river. Llanishen Reservoir is just up the road for a stroll.

If you want a day out, Cardiff Bay is 20 minutes by car. You've got the National Museum Cardiff in town, and St Fagans is about half an hour's drive. That's a museum of Welsh life, with historic buildings moved there. The Brecon Beacons National Park is about a 40-minute drive north for bigger walks.
