Taff's Well Cottage

Taff's Well Cottage is in the village of Taff's Well, near Cardiff. It's a cottage that joins onto our house, so we're next door if you need anything. You have your own front door and the whole place to yourselves.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms: one double, one with two single beds. There's one bathroom with a shower. The rating is 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The garden is enclosed, with a patio and a table. It catches the sun in the afternoon.

The kitchen has what you'd need, including a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you're bringing a little one. You can bring one dog. Parking is on the street outside.

You can walk to a shop and a couple of pubs. The train station is a few minutes walk away. Trains to Cardiff Central take about ten minutes. It's very straight forward.

For getting outside, the cottage is right on the Taff Trail. You can walk or cycle north towards the Brecon Beacons, or south along the river into Cardiff. Castell Coch, the red castle in the woods, is about a twenty minute walk away. St Fagans National Museum of History is a short drive or a bus ride.

Cardiff is the main draw. The castle, the stadium, the arcades and the bay are all easy to get to. If you want the coast, drive to Southerndown or Porthcawl in about half an hour. There are golf courses and places for fishing and horse riding nearby if that's your thing.

You can plan walks and days out using the Wales Coast Path and National Trust sites.
