The Stables is on Main Street in Waltham on the Wolds. It's a single-story cottage, converted from an old stable block behind the pub. There's a small walled courtyard garden at the back, which is private.
It sleeps up to four, maybe five if some are children. There are two bedrooms. One has a king-size bed. The other has high-single bunk beds with another single trundle bed underneath. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's all on the ground floor, which is useful.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. We accept up to three pets. There's WiFi and a TV.
The village has a pub that does food, about a minute's walk away. It's a proper walking and cycling area. The Melton Mowbray pork pie shops are about a ten-minute drive. For a bigger shop, you'd go into Melton.
Within half an hour you can be at Rutland Water for sailing and cycling. Belvoir Castle is about twenty minutes away. The Vale of Belvoir is good for walks. Further out, you can get to Leicester or Nottingham if you want a city trip.
