The Byre is a barn conversion near Tayvallich in Argyll. It's detached, set in about an acre and a half of its own land. The main thing is the location. It's right by Carsaig Bay on the Sound of Jura. You can walk down to the shore in a few minutes.
It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, two bathrooms. Everything's on the ground floor. Three of the bedrooms are doubles. The fourth has bunk beds, but they're full size ones, so they're fine for adults too. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well looked after.
There's a deck off the kitchen. The living room has a wood burner. The garden is big and enclosed, so it's safe if you've got children or just want to sit outside.
Across the track from the cottage, there's a path down to a little private area by the water. It's a good spot for a barbecue or to watch the sun set over Jura.
The village of Tayvallich is about a mile away. It's a pretty harbour. There's a shop, a cafe, and a pub that does food. For a bigger supermarket, you'd go to Lochgilphead, which is about twelve miles.
If you're bringing boats, kayaks, or stand-up paddleboards, Carsaig Bay is perfect for getting straight out on the water. You might see seals. The area is known for forestry walks and cycling. The track by the house goes up towards Crinan.
In terms of what's here: there's parking, a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's no charge for electricity. Sorry, no pets.
