The Barn At Butts Farm
The Barn at Butts Farm is in Wicken. It's a converted granary, so it's a bit different. It's got a 4 Star rating.
It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms and one bathroom. The layout is unusual. The main twin bedroom is upstairs in the attic. The double bedroom is separate. You have to go outside and back in through its own door to get to it. That's just how the barn is. That room has French doors onto a little patio. It also has a Japanese hot tub in the corner.
The living room is big and full of light, with beams and a wood burning stove. There's a separate toilet off that room. The kitchen is well equipped.
The village green and pond are right opposite. The local pub is a short walk. Wicken Fen nature reserve is on your doorstep. You can hire bikes there to explore the paths.
Ely is about a 20 minute drive. The cathedral is impressive. Cambridge is roughly half an hour away. Newmarket, for the horse racing, is about 20 minutes.
Facilities included are a wood burner, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels. There's on site parking. We accept one well-behaved dog.
