This is Barrow Barn. It's a detached bungalow in Wicken village. It's all on one level, which is good if stairs are a problem. You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed, and it looks out over the fields.
It sleeps six in three bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, so no queues in the morning. The rating says it's a 5 Star, so everything should be in good order.
The village is quiet. There's a pub and a restaurant about five minutes' walk away. The local shop is a couple of miles, so you'll probably drive.
Wicken Fen is the big thing here. It's just down the road. You can walk there from the barn in a few minutes. It's a National Trust site, full of wildlife. National Trust Wicken Fen. If you cycle, there's a good path along the river that goes to Ely one way and towards Cambridge the other.
Ely is about fifteen minutes by car. You've got the cathedral and the waterfront. Cambridge is roughly half an hour. For a day out, Bury St Edmunds or Newmarket are within thirty minutes. If you fancy the coast, you can get to North Norfolk, places like Hunstanton, in about an hour.
Inside, it's open plan. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. Parking is right there.
No pets, I'm afraid.
