Hedgeways is a bungalow in Fordham village. It's a quiet residential road. The garden is fully enclosed, which is handy with dogs. You can take two.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and one bathroom, all on the ground floor. The shower room is a walk-in and it's new. There are no stairs at all, which some people like. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not ultra-modern.
The kitchen is a good size with a table. The doors fold back to the garden on a nice day. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on the drive, and an electric vehicle charger.
Fordham itself has a shop and a couple of pubs. It's a useful spot. You're about 15 minutes from Newmarket if you're interested in the racing. Ely is 20 minutes away. The cathedral is the main thing, but the town is good for a wander. Ely Cathedral has all the visitor information.
Cambridge is about 25 minutes by car. You can go punting, see the colleges, that sort of thing. Bury St Edmunds is a bit further, maybe 35 minutes. It's a nice historic town with the abbey gardens.
For walks, Wicken Fen is close by. It's a National Trust site. The Imperial War Museum at Duxford is about half an hour's drive if you like planes. The coast at Hunstanton is roughly an hour away if you fancy fish and chips on the sea front.
That's about it. It's a straightforward place in a handy location.
