Woodpecker Cottage Oborne

Woodpecker Cottage is in Oborne, it's a single-storey barn conversion. The other place next door is an identical one, they can be rented together but you'd have your own front door and garden. You get a patio area and a bit of a garden out the front.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor, no stairs, which is handy.

Being a barn, the ceilings are a good height, but it's still got the original wooden floors with rugs down. There's a woodburning stove for winter. Wifi, TV, parking, all that is included. Bedding and towels too. You can bring one dog.

There's a hotel with a bar about a minute's walk away, they do food. Sherborne's two miles. That's where the shops and the abbey are.

For a day out, the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is about 20 minutes by car. So is the Haynes Motor Museum. The coast, like Lyme Regis or Weymouth, is a 40 minute drive. National Trust places like Montacute House or Stourhead are within half an hour.
