Kingfisher Cottage Oborne

Kingfisher Cottage is in Oborne. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one floor. That's useful if you don't want stairs. There's a second cottage next to it owned by us, so you might see neighbours coming and going. But you get your own enclosed garden and parking.

You can sleep four here. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well looked after. There's a woodburning stove in the main room, which is nice in the winter. The floor is polished wood with rugs.

The local hotel with a bar is about a minute's walk away, 110 yards. They do food. The nearest shop is in Sherborne, two miles. Sherborne is a proper town with a good high street and the abbey. You can walk from here into the countryside quite easily.

If you're driving, you can get to a lot from here. Sherborne is two miles. The Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovilton is about 20 minutes. Haynes Motor Museum is similar. For a big day out, Longleat is just under an hour away.

The coast from Weymouth to Lyme Regis is within an hour's drive. Inland, you've got places like Stourhead or Bath if you fancy something more historical.

What's here: WiFi, TV, washing machine, BBQ, bike storage. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets.
