Blackberry Lodge Ripon

Blackberry Lodge is on our farm in Laverton, near Ripon. It's a detached lodge in its own big garden. The garden is private, you have that to yourselves. The view from the deck is over our fields, it’s very quiet.

It sleeps up to four, but it’s really best for two adults, maybe with a couple of kids. There's a king size bed and a bunk bed room. One bathroom with a shower. It’s a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has what you need. Everything's open plan downstairs.

You're on a working farm. There are chickens about, so you'll see them in the garden sometimes. The decking area has a table and chairs and there's a lawn. There's a BBQ you can use.

The village shop and a decent pub are in Kirkby Malzeard, about a mile and a half walk down the lane. Masham is ten minutes' drive. They've got the brewery tours there, and a market square. Ripon is about fifteen minutes. It's got the cathedral and a few supermarkets.

For days out, Fountains Abbey is close. It’s about a fifteen minute drive. The National Trust website has all the details. You're right on the edge of the North York Moors too, so the driving and walking is good.

Facilities: it's got parking right outside, WiFi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you bring them. No pets, I'm afraid.
