Beckside Cottage Bishop Monkton

Beckside Cottage is in Bishop Monkton, a quiet village just north of Harrogate. It’s semi-detached and right by the little stream that runs through the place. You can hear the water from the garden.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one with twins. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One is an en-suite to the main bedroom. It’s a 4 Star place, so it’s comfortable and well looked after. The stairs are a typical cottage staircase, so they’re a bit steep.

There’s a pub in the village, a couple of minutes' walk. It does food. For groceries, you’ll want to drive to Ripon, which is about ten minutes away. They’ve got a proper supermarket and a good market square.

The garden is enclosed at the back. There’s a patio with a table and chairs, and a barbecue. It’s a nice spot in the sun. You can park on the drive.

For things to do, you’re well placed. Fountains Abbey is about a 15-minute drive. Harrogate is maybe 20 minutes. The Yorkshire Dales start about half an hour to the west. If you want a big garden day out, RHS Harlow Carr is on the edge of Harrogate.

Inside, you’ve got the basics covered: WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can take one well-behaved dog.
