Stable Cottage
Stable Cottage is in Markington. It's about four miles from Ripon. The cottage is detached, converted from an old stable block.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, all upstairs. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, two are en-suites with showers, and there's a family bathroom with a bath. That's handy if you've got a few people.
It's a 4 Star place. The rating means it's well finished. There's underfloor heating downstairs which is good. The kitchen doors open out to a patio with a BBQ.
The stairs are fairly typical for a cottage. Not the steepest I've seen, but mind your head on the way up.
You can bring two dogs. There's bike storage if you need it. All bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, a dishwasher, and parking right there.
Markington is a small village. There's a pub you can walk to. It does food. For a bigger shop or more places to eat, you drive into Ripon.
You're well placed here. Fountains Abbey is about ten minutes away. Harrogate is maybe twenty minutes' drive. The Yorkshire Dales National Park starts not far from here. If you want to plan walks or days out, the Yorkshire Dales National Park site is useful, and so is the National Trust for this area.
