The Old Surgery Kinlochbervie

The Old Surgery is in Kinlochbervie. It used to be the village doctor's surgery. I've kept some of the old features.

It's a detached house. Solid. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, one double and one with two singles. There's one shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's on the ground floor, which is useful.

The kitchen is open plan with the living area. It looks out the front. You get a view of Loch Inchard and the harbour. It's a working fishing port, so there are boats coming and going. It's quiet most of the time, but you'll hear them sometimes, day or night. That's just how it is here.

There's an enclosed garden at the back. It's handy if you've got dogs. You can bring up to two.

The village has a shop for basics and a hotel bar. The beach at Oldshoremore is about two miles away. It's beautiful. Sandwood Bay is a bit of a walk from Blairmore, but it's worth it. All that coast is looked after by the John Muir Trust.

You're on the NC500 route here. Durness is about half an hour's drive east. To the south, Kylesku Bridge and Lochinver are within half an hour too. The Walkhighlands site is good for routes.

Facilities: There's parking, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. The entrance has level access.
