Lochinchard Cottages are just outside Kinlochbervie. It's a bungalow, so all on one level, which is handy. We're detached and you have your own garden.
It sleeps four in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's clean, comfortable and everything works. It isn't fancy.
The location is the main thing. You're about 50 yards from the sea. The view from the front is straight out over Loch Inchard to the mountains. It's very quiet.
Kinlochbervie is a small fishing village. There are a couple of shops for basics and a few places to eat. It's remote. You come here for the landscape and the peace.
If you want to get out, you can walk straight from the door. There are boat trips from the harbour to see seals or go to Handa Island for the birds. For a good beach, Balnakiel at Durness is about a 30-minute drive. The road north to Durness is single track but the views are worth it.
In terms of what's here: there's a washing machine, a cot, a TV, and parking right outside. You can bring two dogs. All bedding is included.
