The Old School House is in Oldshoremore, right on the north west coast. It used to be the village school. It's detached, with its own garden all the way round. You get a lot of space.
The main room is long, with high ceilings and big windows. There's an open fire, which is nice in the evenings. It sleeps four, maybe six if two are kids using the bunk beds in the small third room. There's one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after.
The garden slopes up from the house. There's a seat at the top where you can sit and look out. You can see Handa Island from there. On a clear day you can see the mountains like Foinaven.
You're right by the sea here. The local beaches, Oldshoremore and Polin, are beautiful. Sandwood Bay is famous but it's a good walk to get there, about four miles across the machair. The area is good for walking and watching wildlife. You often see seals.
Kinlochbervie is the nearest village with proper shops, about a ten minute drive. It's a working fishing port. There's a hotel there that does meals.
Facilities: it's got a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. You can bring two dogs. There's parking.
