Aylesbury Lodge Greenstead Green

Aylesbury Lodge is in Greenstead Green. It's a detached, single-storey lodge, so everything's on the ground floor. That's useful if stairs are a problem.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own shower room, which is handy. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's modern and open plan.

The garden is enclosed, which is good for dogs or kids. There's a private hot tub on the verandah.

In terms of stuff, it's got what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is on site. You can bring one dog.

Halstead is the nearest proper town, about a ten-minute drive. It's a market town with pubs, shops, and a few restaurants. There are nice walks along the River Colne there.

For a day out, Freeport Braintree is 15 minutes away if you want shopping. Hedingham Castle is about the same drive. Colchester, with the castle and zoo, is roughly half an hour. If you're into walking or cycling, there are local paths and trails.
