Peacock On The Pin
Peacock On The Pin is a detached place for two people on the edge of Stisted village. It's on the grounds of Braintree Golf Club, right by the third hole. You get the whole garden to yourselves, and there's a private hot tub.
It’s a 5 Star place. That means it’s well-fitted and comfortable. Everything is on the ground floor, so no stairs at all. There’s one bedroom and one bathroom. It's open plan.
You can walk to the golf clubhouse. The village has a community shop for basics, and most of the delivery apps will deliver here. There's a good pub that does Italian food about a mile away. You’ll need to book.
Freeport Braintree, which is a big designer outlet shopping centre, is about three miles away. It also has a cinema and bowling. The town centre is a little further on.
Colchester Zoo is a 20 minute drive away. They've got a castle and Roman ruins there too. For a walk, there's a big country estate with over 2000 acres about ten minutes away. Saffron Walden is about half an hour’s drive.
If you want the coast, there’s a sandy beach at Maldon, which takes around 30 minutes to drive to. The bigger seaside towns like Southend or Clacton are about an hour away.
Facilities: there's parking right by the cottage, an enclosed garden, a hot tub, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. No pets.
